Men's Championship

Olmos Basin & Oak Hills C.C.

July 29-31, 2022

 

Eligibility:

Any male, with amateur status, 18 years or older as of July 29, 2022 residing in Bexar, Comal, Kendall, Kerr, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, Guadalupe, or Bandera counties for a minimum of three months prior to the Championship date.   Active duty military residents are exempt from three month residency requirement.  The Committee has the right to make exceptions in certain circumstances.

 

Information:

• Championship field is limited to the first 100 men that signed up. There will be a waitlist and will be signed up in order as players withdraw.
• Any late entries will be admitted on a space available basis only.
• Players who withdraw after registration closes will not receive a refund.
• Players who withdraw before the deadline are subject to a $30.00 service fee.

 

Registration Opens: Monday June 6th, 9:00 am

 

Deadline to register will be July 24, 2022 by 6:00 pm

 

Entry Fee: $300 includes two rounds at Olmos Basin, and if you make the cut (top 36 and ties) the final round at Oak Hills Country Club.

 

 

First two rounds will be played at Olmos Basin on July 29 & 30. There will be a cut down to top 36 and ties. Final round will be played at Oak Hills Country Club on July 31st.

• 54 Hole Stroke Play Competition-Gross
• 8:06 AM starting tee time with 9 minute intervals between
• This is a GSA Player of the Year and Rudy’s I-10 Cup points event

Yardages:

• Championship Flight—approximately 6900 yards

Rules:

• Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA.
• All players must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf.
• Rules Committee Decisions will be final.
• Caddies and pull carts are permitted.
• In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only.  Devices and distances may be shared with other players.

 

Championship Awards Ceremony:

• July 31st, 2022 immediately following play at Oak Hills C.C.

 

Important Information:

• Rounds may be reduced due to weather and unplayable conditions.
• Starting times will be established by the committee and special requests will not be available.

Appropriate golf attire is required. 

 

Code of Conduct:

Players are to observe proper golf etiquette at all times. Any abuse or disrespect of fellow competitors, officials, spectators, employees of the host facility, or other persons conducting or attending a Golf San Antonio sponsored event can be grounds for disqualification from the event, and possible rejection of entry for future GSA events. Such abuse may be verbal or physical or threat thereof and includes but is not limited to:

• The use of obscene language
• Physical damage to property or equipment including that of GSA or the host facility
• Being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during a competitive round
